Legendary singer Yvonne says it directly: let the children live. While vaccines save up to 3 million young lives every year, one in five children still aren’t receiving the vaccines they need – many on the African continent. In this rousing track, Yvonne sings “mimi ni mtoto”, Swahili for “I am a child”, accompanied by a children’s choir and her son, Themba Machaka. She sings about the change we can make and the lives that can be saved if we reach all children with immunization. Children, says Yvonne, just want to live.
“I believe in the mission and results of Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance. Let us support them to reach all children with the vaccines they need and save millions more lives.”
